About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as a Graduate Building Surveyor. As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting our team to become a successful Building Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on day-to-day tasks as set by line manager and APC supervisor;
  • Take responsibility for work and projects as appropriate to the team/department in which they currently work;
  • Liaise with APC supervisor and counsellor on a regular basis to discuss progress towards the APC;
  • Prioritize and manage own workload effectively;
  • Understand business/departmental context and provide accurate and quality reporting to clients;
  • Be responsive to the needs of the client and look for ways to improve products and services;
  • Build relationships with internal and external service providers and be responsive and helpful to external clients;
  • Share expertise with colleagues and communicate effectively;
  • Work collaboratively with others in a team and be able to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team;
  • Manage relationships with tact and diplomacy and be aware of Equal Opportunities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Building Surveying (RICS Accredited);
  • Property work experience (beneficial but not essential);
  • Competent using all Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Interpersonal skills – confident communicators with the ability to express opinions clearly and convincingly;
  • Achievement/determination – strong track record of academic and personal achievement;
  • Motivated and committed to a career within Surveying;
  • Analytical capability – good problem-solving skills and logical approach.
