We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team at R S D TECHNOLOGY LIMITED. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our laboratory testing and analysis.

• Conduct various product and sample testing in a laboratory setting
• Participate in a team of 26 laboratory professionals providing refinery product analysis
• Ensure incident-free operations through the effective use of safety programs
• Prioritize daily testing, including validation and calibration of equipment
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair
• Monitor stock levels of laboratory supplies and maintain required stock levels
• Complete scheduled tasks and audits as assigned
• Participate in correlation proficiency programs
• Support external engineers and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment

• A tertiary degree or diploma in Science is preferable for this role, or experience in a chemical or petro-chem laboratory
• An understanding of ISO 17025 is preferable but not essential
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in good laboratory practice
• A good understanding of the petrochemical refining processes
• Strong technical and professional problem-solving skills and good communication skills
• Strong personal drive for development and ability to self-manage personal workload
• Ability to represent the laboratory on both internal and external working groups

The normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week. Pembroke Plant operates a nine-day fortnight as well as a 3 and 10 shift system.

Shift Pattern:

• Block 1: 06:30-18:30, 06:30-18:30, 18:30-06:30, 18:30-06:30, 4 days off
• Block 2: 06:30-18:30, 06:30-18:30, 18:30-06:30, 18:30-06:30, 4 days off
• Block 3: 06:30-18:30, 06:30-18:30, 18:30-06:30, 18:30-06:30, 10 days off

Participation in the shift pattern is at the discretion of your Department Head. Candidates may be moved between shifts and days depending on business needs.
