We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Graduate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Christchurch. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting accounting and administrative functions, ensuring smooth financial operations across Stratco NZ.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in accounting and strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer service. Stratco is a privately owned Australasian innovator, manufacturer, and marketer of quality building and home improvement products. With manufacturing facilities and professional trade representation throughout Australia and New Zealand, Stratco has supplied a comprehensive range of products to the building and construction industries and home improvement markets for over 75 years.

In this role, you will support accounts payable and receivable functions, perform bank reconciliations, manage sundry creditor accruals and debtor journals, prepare daily operating reports, and assist with PAYE, GST, and FBT returns. You will also contribute to sales reporting and fixed asset maintenance, support stock-taking and valuation processes, and provide additional assistance to the Management Accountant and the finance team as needed.
