About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Lead to join our team at CBSbutler. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering Department, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing teams of mechanical design engineers and CAD draughters on key programmes of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage teams of mechanical design engineers and CAD draughters on key programmes of work
  • Perform performance and structural calculations, produce 3D models, and support documentation as part of development and sustainment projects
  • Mentor and develop the skills of junior team members
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
  • Contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions
Requirements
  • 2:1 or above in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Extensive experience in 3D CAD modelling
  • Ability to generate competent technical evaluations, design trade studies, and investigations
