About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ark Start St Clement. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.

As a Level 3 qualified Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of our children. You will work closely with our nursery team to ensure that every child receives the best possible start in life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and education to a group of key worker children, including observations, assessments, and relationships with parents.
  • Implement the Ark Start curriculum, ensuring that every child makes good progress and reaches their full potential.
  • Ensure high-quality interactions with all children in the nursery, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
  • Create an enabling environment that supports the development of all children, including those with special educational needs.
  • Ensure the nursery is a safe and secure environment, following the Ark Start safeguarding policy and procedures.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date child records, reporting to parents and senior staff as necessary.
  • Promote high standards of the nursery at all times, representing Ark Start in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care or willingness to work towards qualification.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Awareness of keeping children safe, noticing safeguarding and welfare concerns, and knowing how and when to take appropriate action.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, using own initiative when necessary.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
