About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at Boots. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and helping patients feel good.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide health advice through focussed conversations with patients, ensuring they leave the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
- Deliver the technical aspects of the dispensary, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
- Comply with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
- Seek opportunities to engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
- Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimise dispensing losses.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be working towards and have completed the first year of an Mpharm course at university.
You will also need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent to work in our dispensaries. However, if you have not previously completed this, we will support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining us.
