The role encompasses key tasks such as managing cash flow, paying liabilities, and driving Strategic Management Group (SMG) objectives within risk management. You'll work closely with our team to deliver projects and provide assistance in various finance areas, including Tax, audit, and accounting.

This position will also give you exposure to several software applications used by our company, such as SAP, Wall Street, and Paygate. To excel in this role, you'll need to be proactive, self-motivated, and flexible, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work alongside other departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Cash Flow Forecasting and Management: Ensure accurate forecasting and efficient management of cash flows.
  2. Preparation of Detail Analysis on HFE's Outstanding Liabilities: Provide detailed analysis on outstanding liabilities and ensure timely payments.
  3. Assist Manager and Analyst with Treasury Trade Journal and Cash Settlement Journal Reporting to G/L at M/E: Assist in preparing reports for general ledger accounts.
  4. Using Barclays, Making Payments for Treasury Trades and Ad Hoc Invoices for Finance and New Business: Manage payment processes using Barclays.
  5. Using Paygate, Manage the BACS/Faster Payment File Submissions and Reports for Retail and Wholesale Business Activities: Coordinate file submissions and reports for retail and wholesale business activities.
  6. Support Treasury Manager and Analyst in Driving Automation and New Reports/Projects – Such as Updating Treasury Management System: Collaborate with the Treasury team to drive automation and update the Treasury Management System.
  7. Assist with Ad Hoc Project Work in the Finance Area, i.e., Excel Training, Monthly Discussion of Finance Topics: Participate in ad-hoc project work and training initiatives.

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this position is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.

Requirements:

  • A suitable candidate should be an undergraduate undertaking a business-related degree, preferably in Economics or Finance discipline.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • An analytical mind, with the ability to see end-to-end processes and demonstrate solutions.
  • Ability to work with and interpret vast amounts of data and explain anomalies.
  • Highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work alongside other departments to resolve payment and technical-related queries.
  • Knowledge of VBA/Syntax.
