Fostering Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Fostering Social Worker Team in Southend-On-Sea. As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to children and young people in foster care placements, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people entering or already in foster care placements.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people in foster care, in collaboration with foster carers, families, and relevant professionals.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and advocacy to children, young people, and foster carers throughout the duration of foster care placements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and well-being of children and young people in foster care, addressing any emerging needs or concerns promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, including schools, healthcare providers, and local authorities, to coordinate holistic support services for children and young people in foster care.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or diploma in social work.
  • Registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Two years post-qualifications & Fostering experience.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
