Elevate Projects Ltd is seeking an experienced Building Controls Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our projects are delivered safely, sustainably, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with Building Regulations: Ensure that our construction projects meet current building codes and safety standards. Issue building permits and other relevant approvals as required.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction work complies with approved plans, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential risks associated with building designs, materials, or construction methods. Ensure fire safety, structural integrity, and energy efficiency are addressed in building designs and during construction.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design or construction issues. Provide technical advice and guidance on building control matters to construction teams and developers.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and maintain records of site visits, inspections, and compliance checks. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for auditing and legal purposes.
  • Leadership and Management: Manage a team of building control officers, assigning tasks and overseeing their work. Ensure that the team is trained and up-to-date on the latest regulations, policies, and building standards. Take enforcement actions when necessary, such as issuing stop-work notices or legal action against non-compliant projects.
