Senior Electrical Engineer - High Voltage Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our High Voltage team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical design expertise for our UK-wide Critical Systems team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own project work and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks;
  • Providing guidance to graduates and technicians, demonstrating your in-depth understanding of design engineering;
  • Collaborating with the Ramboll project manager to manage time on projects and meet deadlines;
  • Designing electrical distribution systems at MV and LV levels;
  • Applying renewable technologies, such as battery energy storage and hydrogen;
  • Developing rail power delivery solutions for Network Rail and TfL;
  • Creating detailed designs for electrical installations in special locations;
  • Utilizing specialist software, including ETAP, Paladin, and Trimble.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the chance to progress rapidly, taking on increasing client-facing duties and mentoring junior engineers and apprentices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CIBSE/IET Engineering Council accredited honors degree or an HNC in an applicable discipline;
  • An understanding of financial arrangements for projects, including fee forecasting and preparation;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Experience across different sectors, such as Building Services Design and Site surveys & inspections;
  • Passion for digital design innovation and 'smart design' in an increasingly digitalized construction arena.
