We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Focal Point to support our service centres and customers by resolving technical issues swiftly and providing critical engineering support.

As the region's key technical expert, you will be instrumental in:

  • Offering expert guidance on technical procedures, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Supporting customer meetings with technical insights and solutions.
  • Participating in failure investigations, identifying root causes and recommending innovative repair solutions.
  • Optimising processes to enhance efficiency and quality across our services.
  • Training and mentoring teams, sharing your expertise to build capability within the organisation.
  • Driving business growth through collaborative problem-solving and strategic technical support.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A formal nationally recognised higher-level qualification, or equivalent industrial experience in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with rotating equipment / electrical machine service and repair.
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various UK customer and Sulzer locations.
  • Knowledge of balancing and vibration analysis.
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers.
