Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction on Data Protection knowledge and expertise.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of new software/technical solutions adhere to data protection legislative requirements.
  • Be proactive in the application of expert Data Protection knowledge in drafting accountability and governance documentation.
  • Leverage critical awareness/knowledge of relevant issues in the field through engaging with the wider product community.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working in Information Governance and Data Protection legislation.
  • Considerable experience in drafting and conducting data protection impact assessments.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to learning and problem solving.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate or post registration study, such as a master's degree or SCQF Level 11 equivalence.
  • Proven experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of business/management processes and systems.
  • Experience of working in an innovative way and ability to show initiative in the delivery of information governance legislation.
