Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Talstaff Recruitment is seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for making timely deliveries to various nationwide locations, storing goods in depots and RDCs, and working on trunking and store deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods to various locations across the country, adhering to strict time schedules.
  • Work on trunking and store deliveries, handling curtain siders and palletized stock.
  • Operate box trailers and tail lifts as required.
  • Ensure compliance with driver hours and regulations.
  • Hold a valid C+E UK driving license and a valid UK DCPC and digicard.
  • Work in a professional manner, maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Participate in site inductions and training as necessary.
  • Develop excellent geographical knowledge to navigate routes efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, keeping them informed of progress and delays.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rates: £16.81ph (Monday-Friday), £20.89ph (Saturday), and £25.04ph (Sunday and Bank Holidays).
  • Weekly pay.
  • Full uniform provided after a qualifying period.
  • Regular ongoing work.
