We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Hunter Selection Limited. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the safety of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert health and safety advice to operational units to support managers, operations, and engineers in their responsibilities.
- Assist with third-party ISO 45001 OH&S accreditations and certifications.
- Conduct health and safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and propose remedial actions.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support the management of change business procedure and actively participate in company health and safety improvement projects.
- Develop and deliver training modules associated with health and safety as required.
- Coach and support operational teams in risk analysis techniques and lead the preparation of specific risk assessments.
- Monitor the provision of health and safety topic-specific risk assessments by outside contractors or consultants.
- Support investigations of significant incidents, ensuring they are conducted to the right standards, root cause analysis is carried out, and actions are identified to prevent recurrence.
- Support the business unit to assure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Work with other health and safety team members to achieve company objectives.
- Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and address reoccurring problems.
- Monitor adherence to site safe systems of work within operational units.
- Provide structured communication within operational units relating to health and safety.
- Experience working as a health and safety advisor within a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivation and ability to act with passion and approach professional and personal challenges creatively.
- Teamwork and ability to work with other individuals or teams on achieving and accomplishing goals.
- Resilience and ability to adapt, persevere, and overcome challenges.
- Integrity and ability to demonstrate strong and firm principles of professional ethics.
