Micropack is seeking an experienced Fire & Gas Detection Engineer to join our engineering team.

Job Description:
  • We are looking for a highly skilled professional to install, maintain, and commission fire and gas detection systems globally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical installation, electrical engineering, or instrumentation and proficiency in Microsoft packages.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation qualification
  • Experience in a F&G role with knowledge of loop and schematic drawings

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with colleagues across various functions, including operations, purchasing, and design.

With training provided, experience specifically in F&G is not an absolute requirement.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities globally
  • Fault finding and repair of F&G devices/electrical equipment
  • Documenting test results and fault reporting
  • Working collaboratively with consultants, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff
  • Liaising with clients
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving in the realm of F&G engineering

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
