**Company Overview:** Cruise Academy is a leader in providing entertainment and leisure services at sea. We are seeking an experienced Cocktail Connoisseur to join our team onboard a dynamic cruise ship.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum
**Job Description:** As a Cocktail Connoisseur, you will be responsible for creating and presenting unique cocktail experiences to guests, showcasing your expertise in mixology and flair bartending. You will also provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and present unique cocktail experiences to guests, showcasing expertise in mixology and flair bartending.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Operate and manage the bar area, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Engage with guests, offering beverage recommendations and explaining menu items when required.
- Manage stock levels, including performing regular inventories, restocking, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Operate the bar POS system efficiently.
- Collaborate with the bar team to develop and implement innovative cocktail programs.
- Support and train the Bar Servers, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Adhere to all shipboard and company regulations, including those pertaining to health, safety, and sanitation.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience onboard a large, busy cruise ship (non-negotiable).
- Proficient in creating a wide range of cocktails and other beverages, with knowledge of modern and classic recipes.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience with flair bartending techniques and molecular mixology is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
- Availability to work varied shifts, seven days a week.
- Must meet all maritime medical and safety requirements for working at sea.
