Department

At E1 EDF Trading Ltd, our Contracts and Settlements department plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial activities. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for managing Transaction Reporting processes, ensuring timely, complete, and accurate data delivery in accordance with various regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure all relevant trades are reported within EMIR and REMIT regulatory deadlines.
  • Maintain and contribute to a high-performing team.
  • Monitor trade submission error logs, perform root cause analysis when necessary, to ensure trades are reported within specified timeframes.
  • Work with Technical partners to resolve infrastructure/reporting logic issues.
  • Liaise and interact with Front Office, Operations, and IT teams to investigate and resolve exceptions.
  • Test transaction reporting data for completeness, accuracy, and identify issues.
  • Assess and deliver transaction reporting developments, ensuring changes align with regulations.
  • Evaluate current reporting processes in comparison to regulatory guidelines, industry best practices, and counterparty data to identify gaps and streamline processes.

Requirements

  • Senior Analyst: ideally 3+ years' experience in an applicable role.
  • Prior experience in a regulatory reporting operations role (ideally in Gas, Power, and Emissions markets) or a Middle/Back office operations role (ideally in Gas, Power, and Emissions markets).
  • Knowledge of financial and wholesale energy regulations EMIR, REMIT, and MiFID.
  • Good working knowledge of Operations within Energy Markets.
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes including booking, amendment, contracts, and settlements.
  • Demonstrates analytical skills for an agile and dynamic working environment.
  • Exposure to new system implementation and development.
  • Able to follow procedures, identify problems, propose solutions, and follow up on resolution.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
  • Skills in automated process applications (such as Alteryx) are an advantage.

  • Degree-level educated or equivalent work experience.
  • Motivated by daily operational processes and the opportunity to develop and refine those processes.
  • Numerate with a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high standards of accuracy.
  • A team player who is confident in building strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues including senior management.
  • Self-starter, a quick learner, and someone who has proven problem-solving skills and is not afraid of being curious.
