About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Clinical Pharmacy Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to gain specialized skills in a clinical role and make a real difference in the care of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide near patient medicine management services as part of our ward-based team across 7 days, ensuring cost-effective and efficient services are maintained throughout our patients' stay.
- Integrate into the ward multidisciplinary team, assisting in medication reconciliation at clerking, discharge planning, TTO medicine supply, and patient counseling.
- Assess patients' own drugs, audits, medication ordering, dispensing, and checking of supplies.
- Participate in extended hours, including weekend working, bank holidays, and late nights on a rotational basis.

Requirements
- At least one year's post-qualification experience within an acute hospital setting.
- Nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician qualification and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Accredited accuracy checking qualification.
- A flexible approach to accommodate the needs of the service.
- Previous experience demonstrating a good understanding of ward-based services is advantageous.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working as a Clinical Pharmacy Technician or similar capacity.
- Deputising for senior personnel, coordinating daily workflow, including situational staff management.
- Experience in setting up new working practices or procedures.
- Participation in the training and mentoring of staff.
- Understanding of ward environment.
