About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Surfacing / CAD Designer to join our team at AWD online. As a Surfacing / CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing furniture for luxury yachts, working closely with the design department to create intelligent designs that maximize space, storage, and integrate services seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design furniture for all areas of the yachts, including exterior seating, bars, and interior helms
* Create 3D preliminary ideation models of furniture and details to present to project leads
* Review, modify, and finalize designs into a solved 3D Design model that meets all standards
* Produce production drawings, including assembly drawings and glazing drawings
* Design spaces and furniture that suit the creative direction briefed by the concept/creative team and fit with the brand

Requirements:

* Experience of designing parts for moulding
* NX 2D & 3D CAD skills: Intermediate
* Ability to create surfaces suitable for 5-axis cutting
* Good knowledge of Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Smartsheet, and PowerPoint
* Some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
* Exterior furniture design: Intermediate
* Design for manufacture knowledge (Mouldings/GRP)
* Good design communication
* Basic knowledge of mechanism design
* Understanding of budgets and manufacturing feasibility
* Ability to work under own initiative most of the time
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Time Keeping, Effectiveness, Delivering to Deadlines
* Motivated, Confidence, Positive Attitude, Commitment
