Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Cost Controller to join our busy and expanding Infrastructure-Defence team in Bristol and the South West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cost control activities, identifying variances to the baseline, and seeking efficiencies across client programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams of Cost Control professionals on complex projects or programmes.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost control processes to create efficiency and increase benefits to our clients.
- Implement, embed, and roll-out changes to cost control processes.
- Select, implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures.
- Develop project Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and align time phasing of budgets against the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Provide subject matter advice and manage the development of reporting tracking tools.
- Define how to build and assure project forecast to account for all residual works in the Estimate To Complete (ETC).
- Present performance recovery recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Contribute to the national and regional risk communities.
Requirements
- Experience in Cost Control on complex projects/programmes.
- Practical experience of different cost performance reporting and cost forecasting techniques.
- Practical experience of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting and analysis.
- Practical experience of using MS Excel and other MS applications.
- Experience of interfacing risk with other Project Controls disciplines.
- Experience in leading small teams.
- An understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls interact with Cost Engineering.
Security Clearance
It is essential that you are a sole British national passport holder, with current security clearance, or the ability to achieve this.
