Job Summary

As a Senior Assembly Technician (Machining), you will be responsible for preparing and proving out basic to complex programs and operating production runs within our Hi-Tech machine shop producing component parts for the Aircraft interiors business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing (setting) of a wide range of Fanuc controlled CNC milling and turning machinery
  • Basic creation or editing of CNC programs using G & M code instruction
  • Operate machines to produce production runs of parts in accordance with a daily production plan
  • Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery
  • Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead
  • Maintain quality standard through the understanding of the quality management system
Requirements
  • 5 years relevant experience of CNC machining in a precision engineering environment
  • Strong background in the use of various CNC Milling and/or Turning machinery
  • Good understanding of fanuc control systems
  • Extensive knowledge of machine tooling and inspection measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and data
  • Strong EH&S awareness in a manufacturing environment
  • Good metallurgy knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of lean manufacturing techniques
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary: £58,400 per annum - £28.80 per hour
  • 6-month contract
  • 39 hours per week
