About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment, including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Operate a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
About You
We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to work on your own initiative, organizing your own time, and managing your workload effectively. Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential.

As a Cleaning Operative with Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions, you will receive a competitive hourly rate, 22.5 days annual leave (rising to 25 after 5 years' service), plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme.
