About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Networks & Security Tutor to join our team at Teesside University International Study Centre. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in guiding students through the dynamic world of technology and computer science.
You will collaborate with colleagues across the Centre to ensure the effective delivery of teaching programs within the Computing, Engineering, and Science pathway. Your contributions will align with our teaching, learning, and assessment strategy, fostering an outstanding student experience.
- Contribute to Excellence: Design, deliver, and develop engaging modules that inspire students.
- Share Your Expertise: Prepare and deliver impactful lectures, seminars, and tutorial sessions.
- Shape Learning Outcomes: Write and prepare formative and summative assessments that measure student progress effectively.
- Provide Meaningful Feedback: Mark student submissions, offering timely and constructive feedback to enhance their understanding.
- Develop Innovative Resources: Create and update course materials for modules and teaching sessions, including content for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
- Support Student Success: Liaise with colleagues to ensure students receive comprehensive welfare and progression support.
- Ensure Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance procedures at module and teaching session levels, contributing to the ongoing review of courses.
About You
To excel in this role, you will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject area (e.g., Computing, Computer Science, or Cyber Security) is essential.
- A Master's degree is desirable for teaching at level 3 and essential for teaching at level 6.
- Relevant Teaching Qualification is desirable.
- Experience in teaching relevant subject modules within the UK Higher or Further education sector, with experience working with international students is highly valued.
