About the Programme

EDF UK is committed to helping Britain achieve Net Zero, and we're looking for talented individuals to join our Design Engineering EPR-E Graduate Programme. This 18-month programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in EPRE engineering.

What You'll Do
  • Embark on a transformative programme that offers placements across our nuclear new build programme, including working on Software and Hardware based Reactor Protection Systems, Plant computing systems, Process Automation and Control Systems.
  • Gain experience in designing and building complex systems, including instrumentation and control systems, which are critical to ensuring safe and reliable operations.
  • Develop your skills in factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to different projects throughout the programme, including work on EDF systems, supporting design reviews, and performing software modification.

Requirements
  • A 2:2 Bachelor's Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Electrical, Electronics, Control Instrumentation, Maths, Physics, Automation, or Software Engineering.
  • An aptitude and interest in Software Engineering.
  • Openness to relocate to France as part of the programme and a willingness to learn the French language.
  • Meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires being a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
