Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practitioner to join our Social Work team in Moray. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support to social work staff to ensure the delivery of competent and confident professional practice.
  • Manage complex cases and develop effective interventions to meet the needs of service users.
  • Lead on the improvement of ICT systems to support social work practice.
  • Mentor and coach social work staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to practice, policy, and procedure improvements through expert knowledge and experience.

Requirements

  • Considerable experience as a qualified Social Worker.
  • Excellent knowledge of legislation, policies, and practices associated with Community Care.
  • Experience of successfully managing a varied and complex caseload.
  • Professional qualification in Social Work and registration with SSSC.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Ability to negotiate and liaise effectively.
  • Ability to work flexibly and meet the demands of the service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex information to colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and support colleagues.

Working Arrangements

You will be expected to travel efficiently between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the service. Due to the rural nature of Moray, this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £47.45 to £51.05 per hour, with a 36.25 hour working week. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
