We are seeking a Highway Compliance Specialist to join our team at JT Recruit Ltd. This role is initially for 12 months.

Job Purpose

To ensure highway inspections are carried out within the timeframe as defined in the Code of Practice, enforcing where required the Highway Act and environmental issues related to the highway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the highway boundary and responding to any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular highway inspections to identify potential issues
  • Enforce the Highway Act and relevant environmental legislation
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies on the highway
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and enforcement activities

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the Highway Act and relevant environmental legislation
  • Valid driving license

Salary Range: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
