  1. Supervising or leading a team of highway engineers with a focus on maximizing their performance.
  2. You will be accountable for business unit performance metrics such as sales targets and customer service levels within the highways sector.
  3. Sustaining growth and development not only of your team but also the wider Roads (& T&I) community is crucial.
  4. Fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, and combined authorities across Cumbria.
Your Team
  1. We have two teams working together: Highways Design and Highways Drainage, alongside a larger consultancy team of around 200 multidisciplinary experts including traffic engineering, bridge/structures, intelligent infrastructure, earth & environment, development infrastructure, and transport planning.
  2. This role presents an excellent opportunity for career progression, including potential advancement to Associate Director based on experience and job performance.

Requirements
  1. A degree in a relevant highway design field or equivalent qualification.
  2. Prior experience working with Local Authority clients and Developers.
  3. A strong local network of contacts to build upon.
  4. Substantial highway design experience and technical skills relevant to the discipline.
