Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Assurance Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe introduction of new products and systems into the rail industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of safety assurance strategies for new products and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain safety plans and procedures to ensure the safe operation of new products and systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on safety-related matters.

Requirements

  • Relevant engineering degree and experience in safety assurance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards, including the Common Safety Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex safety data and develop effective mitigation strategies.
