P&S Personnel is seeking an accomplished R&D Manager to spearhead their product development initiatives in Great Yarmouth.

About the Opportunity:

This exciting role entails leading the development process of new in-house products from concept to launch, while also overseeing the enhancement of existing products. The R&D Manager will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, ensuring successful product launches, and developing talent within the organization.

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive new product development strategies.
  2. Lead multi-disciplinary teams to improve existing products.
  3. Supervise a team of engineers, set goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  4. Identify, recruit, and develop top talent within the organization.
  5. Ensure seamless delivery of projects, including product verification, testing, and training.
  6. Effectively manage project budgets, resources, and timelines.

Requirements for success include:

  • Postgraduate degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Significant experience in electronics, firmware, and software development.
  • Advanced project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Leadership experience, with expertise in staff supervision, mentoring, and development.
  • At least 7 years' experience in a senior engineering development role.
  • Marine/survey industry experience highly valued.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, quality standards, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Ambitious and forward-thinking individual.

The estimated salary range for this position is £65,000 - £90,000 per year, based on experience.
