Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Sevenoaks School. As a key member of our food and beverage operation, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, sandwiches, and snacks.
  • Serve on food counters during meal services or events.
  • Support setting up dining areas, arranging tables and chairs, laying out tableware and utensils.
  • Pre and post-service cleaning and setup of counters and dining areas.
  • Interact with students and staff courteously and helpfully, responding to inquiries about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food service equipment.
  • Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels of food supplies, beverages, and disposables.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and health regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other catering team members.
Requirements
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to adopt a dedicated and orderly approach.
  • Prioritize work, handle pressure, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Impeccable punctuality and dependability.
  • Experience in a similar environment is beneficial but not essential.
