Nursery Cook and Classroom Support Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursery Cook and Classroom Support Professional to join our team of dedicated educators and caregivers. This full-time, permanent position requires someone who can work across all 5 locations of Les Petites Etoiles Nurseries, covering the main nursery chefs during annual/sick leave and assisting with childcare duties in the classrooms when necessary.

This role involves working half-year in the kitchen and half-year in the classroom, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills and experience in both areas. As a Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing organic meals and snacks for the children, and maintaining high hygiene standards. As a Classroom Assistant, you will support the room leaders and teams, contributing to the development and care of the children.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in food preparation for large groups, preferably in a childcare setting;
  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or above;
  • Food Allergen Awareness training;
  • At least one year of childcare experience;
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and safeguarding practices.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care and education.
