Technical Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Specialist to join our team at Orion Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining training expectations, ensuring best-in-class technical training provision, and managing the delivery of TMS services.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Technical Authorities and Subject Matter Experts to develop and implement effective training solutions.
- Manage Training Matrices for mandatory and nominated technical training expectations, including Management of Change.
- Lead the scoping and development of new technical training courses, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
- Operational ownership of the Training Management System (TMS) software, ensuring seamless integration and data management.
- Monitor and report on overall training compliance, gap management, and contractor compliance performance to Senior Leadership.
- Execute regulatory inspections and manage Contractor Competence, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Assess and verify competence for Supervisory Management and L&D awards, ensuring high-quality training outcomes.
- Experience working in the energy, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Proven track record in developing technical training solutions, from scoping through to implementation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practice, with experience working with the Oil and Gas Regulator.
