About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Destination Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a warm and supportive relationship with students to promote a sense of safety and well-being.
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting respect and understanding among all students.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Flexibility to work on a supply basis, with the opportunity to choose your own days and hours.
  • Passion for working with young people and a commitment to promoting their educational and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
