Aspiring Psychologist Job Description

CV-Library is seeking a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate to join their support team at a Specialist School in Salisbury. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in supporting children with psychological needs and be proactive in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other experienced staff members to educate pupils.
  • Help manage challenging behaviours and work on a one-to-one basis to ensure pupils are on task.
  • Identify potential triggers for pupils regarding their trauma and mental health needs.
  • Facilitate various therapeutic techniques and employ restorative practices aimed at promoting mental well-being.

Requirements:

  • Recent Psychology or Criminology graduate.
  • Proactive and friendly approach.
  • Passion for mental health.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs is beneficial.
