About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative administrator to join our busy Audiology Department in Dorset.

The main function of the Audiology Service is to provide NHS hearing aid services throughout the region, and we are looking for someone with excellent administrative skills to support our clinical team.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days. We are open to considering job share or other flexible working patterns that meet the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Telephone Enquiries: Respond to a range of telephone queries from patients and stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
  2. Appointment Management: Arrange appointments for patients and ensure that all necessary information is communicated effectively.
  3. Patient Correspondence: Manage patient correspondence, including letters and emails, in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Data Inputting: Accurately and efficiently input data into our systems, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and secure.
  5. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a proactive and effective manner, minimizing disruption to the service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Competent IT Skills: Proficiency in using a range of administrative software and systems.
  2. Administrative Experience: Proven experience of working in an administrative role, with a strong understanding of administrative procedures and protocols.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and sympathetically with patients and stakeholders.
