Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Depot Transport Team in delivering Transport change projects
  • Work with the Depot Transport Team to identify opportunities for further transport optimisation
  • Understand existing Transport and Fleet legislative requirements and review processes to support operational adherence
  • Review changes in legislation and work with Depot Transport Team to support implementation of compliance changes
  • Provide data and insight for compliance adherence across operational process compliance, fleet compliance, transport compliance, and transport training
  • Work together with our H&S team in instances of H&S and Transport/Fleet compliance overlap
  • Take ownership for tasks and strive to improve performance, showing enthusiasm and initiative for new ideas
  • Establish and maintain internal and external relationships across stakeholders
  • Operate within legislation, policy, and process in all matters
  • Liaise with vehicle maintenance units to understand fleet movements and guarantee correct information is received/transferred
  • Contribute to the development of an accident and damage spend reduction plan

Requirements:

  • CPC certificate beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and process
  • Awareness of the need to build relationships with peers and stakeholders
  • Ability to make decisions within given procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to break down issues and analyse data to solve problems
  • Ability to organise, plan, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and timescales
  • Build collaborative working relationships and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confident in making decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Stay optimistic in the face of problems/obstacles
  • Awareness of working in a highly Unionised environment
