Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac conditions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of cardiac investigations, including ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing. You will also be expected to analyze and interpret the results of these investigations, and provide technical and clinical advice to colleagues and patients.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, nurses, and other physiologists, to provide high-quality patient care. You will also be expected to participate in education and training programs, and to contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and analyze ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing
  • Provide technical and clinical advice to colleagues and patients
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in education and training programs
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
Requirements
  • BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification
  • Experience of fitting and analyzing ECG and blood pressure monitors
  • Strong underpinning knowledge of exercise tolerance testing, resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recording and interpretation
