Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our Legal team in London. As a key member of the team, you will assist and support the Data Protection Officer in providing a high-quality service to the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the point of contact for the business when they are seeking advice from the Data Protection Team.
  2. Manage the administration of the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) review and approval process.
  3. Manage the Subject Access Request (SAR) process ensuring that SARs are completed in compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and manage the review and audit process for SARs completed by facilities.
  4. Manage the database for data protection queries and complaints (from staff and from patients) and responses.
  5. Provide administrative support to the Data Protection Team.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrable career experience working within a senior administrative position, preferably within data protection or law.
  2. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills and effective team player, used to working up to executive level.
  3. Exceptional IT and system abilities to include MS Office.
  4. Ability to interpret and implement complex policies and procedures.
