MindWise is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by mental health issues to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities- Support and Empowerment: Provide a safe, supportive, and stable environment for individuals experiencing mental health issues, improving their quality of life, reducing social isolation, and promoting active citizenship in their community.
- Early Intervention: Support individuals to access the right support early, encouraging physical health activities, healthy eating programs, and physical health screening, where appropriate.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health support.
- Essential Skills: Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 6 months recent experience providing support to individuals with mental illness in a paid or voluntary position, or 6 months experience in a similar care setting.
- Registration: NISCC Registration or eligibility to register from commencement of role.
