We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in Pudsey.

The successful candidate will assist our chef in preparing and serving meals to staff and students, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, and contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the chef in food preparation and service, ensuring high-quality meals are delivered to staff and students.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of kitchen equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients, providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or contract catering environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Basic food knowledge and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
