Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the procurement and distribution of fresh and frozen produce, eggs, milk, kosher products, and emergency supplies throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland. As a key member of the DOC Agribusiness team, you will be responsible for maintaining commodity inventories and supplies by properly receiving, storing, and delivering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and delivery of commodities, including fresh produce, frozen foods, milk, juice, and kosher products.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Supervise inmate workers and provide training on warehouse practices and procedures.
  • Organize work assignments and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the DOC Agribusiness team to ensure seamless procurement and distribution of supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in general warehouse practices and inventory management.
  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift and handle units of produce weighing 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a correctional setting.
  • Working knowledge of produce handling and distribution.
