About the Role:

Protocol Education is working with an esteemed school in South Shields to offer the opportunity to support and encourage children and young people in their educational development. The successful candidate will work within the classroom to support the teacher and help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

- Creating a safe and positive learning environment
- Developing and delivering personalized teaching approaches, including 1:1 and group learning opportunities
- Maintaining accurate student progress records
- Supporting the smooth running of the college through administration tasks
- Collaborating with colleagues to provide additional educational support in the classroom

Requirements:

- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching in Schools or willingness to work towards it
- Previous experience working in a classroom environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting children with various abilities in a positive education environment
- Problem-solving skills to address challenging situations
- Enhanced DBS check and commitment to safeguarding young people
