We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our Civil Aerospace Services organisation based in Derby. As a Finance Analyst, you will have direct exposure to a specific engine programme, working closely with the business partners to ensure accurate financial results and forecasts.

The role holder will be responsible for fully understanding the P&L and Balance Sheet implications of a suite of long-term TotalCare contracts. These contracts generate significant financial inflow to the business, and it is critical that we manage them effectively to meet stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver the monthly actual financial results and provide a clear understanding of performance variances.
  2. Work closely with the engine programme business partners to ensure accurate financial budgets and forecasts.
  3. Articulate changes in long-term contract costing assumptions and their impact on financial performance.
  4. Deliver improvements to the analysis and communication of net long-term contract balances.
  5. Drive process control management and remediation of identified control weaknesses.
  6. Actively engage in process improvement and delivery of high-quality financial results.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified accountant or working towards (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  2. Strong analytical skills and a track record of delivering quality results to timelines.
  3. Experience of SAP and HFM preferable
  4. Strong Excel skills
