Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Reliable Equipment Specialist to join our team at a leading FMCG firm in East Yorkshire. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a range of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Your duties will include troubleshooting mechanical issues, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability. You will also maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Salary Details

The estimated salary for this role is between £44,000 and £46,300 per annum, depending on experience. The company offers a contributory pension, 25 days' holidays plus stats, and opportunities to boost salary with overtime.

About the Position

  • Maintenance Activities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on various machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimising downtime.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly and efficiently to maintain production flow.
  • Improvement Initiatives: Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a factory or fast-paced production environment.
  • Must have served a recognized Engineering apprenticeship or be NVQ level 3 trained in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-skilled engineering.
  • Ability to repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
