About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a critical role in evaluating the impact of health conditions and disabilities on an individual's daily life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial reviews, paper-based, face-to-face, video, or telephone assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life
  • Create comprehensive reports of the evidence gathered for each claimant, each day
  • Work closely with our team to ensure accurate and unbiased assessments
Requirements
  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise, and dig deeper
  • The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute
  • Demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems such as MS Teams

Our client's hybrid model means you'll be based at home and assigned to work from your nearest assessment centre on a rota basis to deliver face-to-face assessments. You'll also spend additional time in our centres or office locations to catch up with your manager and wider team or attend in-person training sessions.
