Occupational Health Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at Birketts. As a key member of our wellbeing team, you will provide proactive and effective wellbeing support to our employees, delivering occupational health services that promote a healthy and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive advice to line managers, HR colleagues, and employees on fitness for work and necessary adjustments.
- Review pre-employment health questionnaires and provide guidance on medical concerns to the HR team.
- Complete the first stage of annual medical screening for senior staff.
- Provide appointments to discuss physical or mental health issues and offer support options.
- Signpost employees to relevant support services and promote internal options.
- Assist with staff referrals to our external Occupational Health Doctor.
- Attend team meetings to highlight the importance of health and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our wellbeing strategy.
- Monitor and report common themes or areas for concern.
- Provide ad-hoc promotions such as health checks and screenings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering corporate occupational health services and health assessments.
- NMC registration as an adult nurse or registration in progress.
- Mental Health First Aid Training (preferred).
- Phlebotomy skills preferred but not essential.
