Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

Rubber Duck Cars is seeking a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Southampton. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our fleet by conducting routine maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough maintenance checks on HGVs to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Fabricate and weld components as required to maintain vehicle safety and efficiency
- Assemble and disassemble parts with precision to ensure accurate and timely repairs
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Operate power tools and forklifts safely and efficiently to maximize productivity
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed to ensure transparency and accountability
- Proficiency in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and power tools to diagnose and repair complex HGV systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering excellent results that exceed client expectations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly preferred, but not essential
- Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles is advantageous, but not required
- Forklift operation experience is a plus, but training can be provided if necessary
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £41,600 per year, plus bonus opportunities that could potentially take earnings up to £48,000 per year.
