Job Purpose:

We are seeking an Electrical Power Systems Specialist to join our team at Omega Resource Group. In this role, you will be responsible for specifying, designing, assembling, testing, installing, and commissioning electrical control systems with a focus on power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal processes to guarantee high-quality workmanship and minimize risks.
  2. Conduct pre-sale evaluations to assess customer requirements, develop preliminary design concepts, select major components, and estimate costs to deliver tailored solutions.
  3. Pursue post-sale activities to finalize design concepts, create detailed electrical system designs, program software, and assemble hardware to meet client expectations.
  4. Install and commission power systems at customer sites, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  5. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, products, and services.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 2:1 degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Electronics or Power Systems.
  • A passion for power systems and electrical control systems, with a drive to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
