The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team as a Lifting Equipment Inspector. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and servicing lifting equipment to develop a career in inspection and testing.

As a Lifting Equipment Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of lifting equipment across various industries, including marine, agriculture, manufacturing, power plants, and airports. You will work independently, managing your own diary and visiting different sites to inspect and test equipment.

We offer a comprehensive training program, which can last up to 6 months, to help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge for this role. Our company is a certified UK Top Employer, renowned for its world-class training and development opportunities.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of lifting equipment, including MEWPs, excavators, lifting tackle, HIABs, and powered access. You will also have the chance to develop your skills in inspection and testing, and to work towards becoming a certified Engineering Surveyor.

We are looking for a HNC level educated professional with experience in maintaining and servicing lifting equipment. You should have a strong understanding of mechanical principles and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. The Role:

As a Lifting Equipment Inspector, you will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting and testing lifting equipment to ensure safe operation
  • Managing your own diary and visiting different sites to inspect and test equipment
  • Developing and implementing inspection and testing procedures
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations
