Job Title: Shunter Driver

Job Summary:

Job&Talent is seeking a skilled Shunter Driver to join our team at Manton Wood, Sherwood Drive, Worksop. As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers around the site, adhering to health and safety procedures, and communicating with the Warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate trailer movements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full trailers are taken on and empty trailers are taken off the infeed docks in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with the Warehouse team to ensure drivers and sub-contractors are given the correct trailer for the movement they are scheduled to.
  • Ensure all trailers are moved around the site in a safe and secure manner, following all site health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure customer material is not damaged during transportation to/from docks.
  • Complete scheduled movements of trailers around the site, on/off docks, and in the trailer park.
  • Sort and prioritize workload to ensure time commitments are met.
  • Ensure correct completion of any reports/schedules documentation.
  • Comply with DHL's uniform requirements and ensure all relevant ID passes are worn at all times.
  • Achieve targets, productivity, service, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Full Class 1 HGV driving license.
  • Minimum 3 months experience in a similar role (Shunter Driver).
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, capable of working on own initiative.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain in the UK/I.
